Toray Hair

Toray synthetic hair was developed in Japan in the mid-70s. It is made of very fine polyamide synthetic fibers. These are intended to imitate the structure of natural hair as closely as possible.

The spring and quality of Toray come very close to that of natural red sable hair. A big advantage is that it is easier to clean and more resistant to solvents and detergents than natural hair. As a result, it has a long product life. All these properties make brushes made of Toray hair a very good vegan alternative to natural hair brushes.

Like red sable hair, Toray can be used for watercolors as well as for oil and acrylic paints.
